ABOUT OUR CLASSES
Taught by North American Black Belt Hall of Fame's 2001 Instructor of the Year & the
American Karate Association's Hall of Fame's 2004 International Instructor of the Year.
Traditional karate emphasizes kata (forms),bunkai (self-defense applications) & self-esteem. Forms are practiced with applications, so they can be used in effective self defense. Kata are essentially a livingdictionary of martial arts techniques disguised in forms. We emphasize karate to be used only for self-defense & self-improvement. When you walk into our class, you will start learning basic stances, blocks, kicks, strikes as well as traditions and our goal it to make you comfortable and teach you to love this art and make it a 'way of life'.
